Follow along as I finish carving this Santa Clause Christmas Decoration in my woodshop on a chilly December afternoon. I'm carving these figures out of basswood with a standard set of chisels, but you could do this same work with a carving knife or even a pocket knife. The only thing that will change will be the amount of time spent. I'm whittling these to fill orders and using chisels helps me speed up that process with less wear and tear on my hands.
