Parcheggiare lo scooter in piano sul cavalletto centrale. b Mettere un recipiente sotto la vite di drenaggio per raccogliere l'olio esausto (la vite di drenaggio si trova sul carter sinistro a lato del numero identificativo del motore). c Togliere l'astina di controllo. Rimuovere la vite di drenaggio e la relativa rondella per far fluire l'olio. L'olio fuoriesce più facilmente a motore caldo. d Pulire la vite di drenaggio e reinstallarla, dopo la relativa rondella, serrandola con cura. e Rabboccare circa 0,8 lt di olio motore PETRONAS SYNTIUM MOTO 4SX 10W-40. Controllare il livello come indicato a pag. 42. f Serrare a mano l'astina di controllo. g Scaldare il motore. Ricontrollare il livello dell'olio almeno 10 minuti dopo aver spento il motore. Ispezione filtro aria Polvere e sporco nel filtro aria causano perdita di prestazioni, aumento del consumo e delle emissioni inquinanti. Aprire la scatola filtro aria e controllare lo stato dell'elemento filtrante. Pulirlo o sostituirlo secondo quanto indicato nella tavola di manutenzione. Pulizia a Togliere le viti del coperchio e rimuoverlo. b Togliere le viti che fissano l'elemento filtrante (1) e rimuoverlo. c Pulire l'elemento filtrante con aria compressa. Installare in senso inverso allo smontaggio. Attenzione • Non utilizzare benzina per la pulizia del filtro aria perché facilmente infiammabile. • Se il filtro aria non è installato propriamente il motore aspira polvere e sporcizia. Questo pregiudica la durata del motore nel tempo. Attenzione, se non avete praticità con questo tipo di lavori, onde evitare danni a voi stessi e a chi vi sta intorno, rivolgetevi a un professionista. Park the scooter on a flat surface on the center stand. b Place a container under the drain screw to collect the used oil (the drain screw is located on the left crankcase next to the engine identification number). c Remove the dipstick. Remove the drain screw and the relative washer to allow the oil to flow. The oil flows out more easily when the engine is hot. d Clean the drain screw and reinstall it, after the relative washer, tightening it carefully. e Top up about 0.8 liters of PETRONAS SYNTIUM MOTO 4SX 10W-40 engine oil. Check the level as indicated on page 42. f Tighten the dipstick by hand. g Warm up the engine. Recheck the oil level at least 10 minutes after switching off the engine. Air filter inspection Dust and dirt in the air filter cause loss of performance, increased consumption and polluting emissions. Open the air filter box and check the condition of the filter element. Clean or replace it as indicated in the maintenance table.
