Continuing my little series of late-night bedtime lullaby recordings, here's a song from the Velvet Underground, "Stephanie Says", which I fell in love with on the Royal Tenenbaums soundtrack. I was watching a video by Youtube that offered advice about how to get your videos to a broader audience, and they recommended writing more lengthy video descriptions. Well I am NOTHING if not extremely verborse, so let me chat at you for a little bit! All things considered I have to say that the Coronavirus situation has really forced a much-needed spike in my productivity just recording these kinds of videos, they're fun to do and it's a good learning experience to get reps and hone my music and video production chops. It's also just helping me develop more confidence as a performer, and less of a perfectionist in that way that inhibits people from going ahead with a task and putting themselves out there. So, even if only like 4-5 people watch these vids and only for like :30 seconds max, I still feel like it's been a useful tool, and I'm going to keep pushing and keep doing my thing because this social distancing has really led me to realize that performing music is truly my genuine purpose in life, and the more I do it the better I'm going to get and eventually build that big audience! So I hope that's verbose enough a video description to please the Youtube algorithm :).
