We took Gumby, my 80 Series LandCruiser, out to Toolangi for a day of real-deal four-wheel driving—and let’s just say the tracks didn’t go easy on us. The day kicked off with Rocky Track, and straight off the bat, the dramas hit hard. Whether it was the terrain, traction, or just one of those days, Rocky Track lived up to its name. Next up was Downy Spur Track, and honestly… we hated it. The mud was next level—relentless, deep, and just made everything ten times harder. Gumby fought through it, but we’ll be happy to not see that mud again for a while. We wrapped things up on Lyndals Track, where we finally got back into the groove with some proper rock crawling. Gumby was in its element, and it was a solid reminder of why we love this old beast. Classic 80 series flex and grunt all the way.
