Nope. Almighty attacks are off the limits. The glitch was recently discovered by SQ5学会員 (   / @sq5researcher822).  . and some other examples on    • Etrian Odyssey 3 HD - Reflector/Ambus...   or    • Etrian Odyssey 3 HD: Invincibility Gl...   The tl;dr version is that if you use either Reflector or Prophecy first, then use Ambush Stance, you will nullify attacks and launch counter attack. Soo I wanted to try this except against the Elder Dragon, but nope, Supernova will go through the glitch. It's probably because Supernova does untyped (non-elemental damage, as the game calls it) and Ambush Stance glitch does not apply to non-elemental attacks. This is probably because Ambush Stance only designates Cut/Bash/Stab/Fire/Ice/Volt as opposed to all attacks in the skill data. Seeing this, Ambush Stance is likely somehow overwriting the "respond to this element" portion of Prophecy or Reflector with the element of Ambush Stance, which only designates Cut/Bash/Stab/Fire/Ice/Volt (hex 3F) as opposed to 1FF (which would cover all damages). So no, you will still need that head bind vs Elder Dragon.
