My eBay Stanley No.45 came without a slitting cutter, so I thought I might as well make my own. See how easy it was. Four inches of chrome steel, and half an hours work later, I have a fine looking slitting cutter. I've approximated the angles of the point and bevels from photographs of Stanley originals, and my next video, in the Stanley No.45 series, will see me demonstrating my slitting cutter. So hopefully it will work as good as it looks! Those familiar with the slitting cutter will notice that I haven't rounded the point. The plan is to try it first. After which it's an easy modification before trying it rounded.
