Once the mortal Kelemvor Lyonsbane, this mercenary-turned-reluctant hero rose to godhood to become the Judge of the Damned and ruler of the Fugue Plane. Unlike his grim predecessors Jergal, Myrkul, and Cyric, Kelemvor teaches that death is a natural part of life—not something to fear, but something to accept with dignity. ⚔️ Mortal Origins Born under a cursed family line, Kelemvor lived as a skilled adventurer with a noble heart hidden beneath harsh manners. Killed by Cyric atop Blackstaff Tower, his soul was trapped in Godsbane (the sword of Mask, God of Thieves in disguise). After ten years of imprisonment, he escaped, led a revolt of the dead, and overthrew Cyric—earning the mantle of god of death. 🕯️ Beliefs & Teachings Kelemvor’s rule brought fairness to the afterlife, teaching that death should not be feared but understood. His clergy, known as the death clergy, tend to the dying, defend the living from monsters, and above all, destroy undeath, which is seen as an affront to the natural order. 👁️ Clergy & Worship Priests of Kelemvor wear somber gray vestments and often wield bastard swords. Elite priests are called Doomguides, tasked with leading the fight against necromancy and guiding souls to their rightful rest. His temples serve as sanctuaries for the dying, protectors of the living, and relentless enemies of the undead. To serve Kelemvor is to honor the natural cycle and oppose those who would corrupt it through undeath and dark magic. ✨ If you enjoy exploring D&D deities and Forgotten Realms lore, be sure to Like 👍, Subscribe 🔔, and explore our full series on the gods of Dungeons & Dragons. Lyrics: Great Guide, walk beside, through the veil of night, Master of the Scales, set your measure right. No fear, no tears, when our journey’s done, The Death Lord's touch comes for everyone. Lord of the Dead — Judge of the Damned! God of Death, none can withstand. Crystal Spire, shining bright, Guide our souls into the light. Doomguides stand, in the ash and flame, Strike down the curse that defiles your name. Undeath falls when your sword is raised, KELL-em-vor’s will shall not be stayed. Lord of the Dead — Judge of the Damned! God of Death, none can withstand. Crystal Spire, shining bright, Guide our souls into the light. Through the dark we walk with you, Faithful, steadfast, strong, and true. Crystal Spire, shining tall, Kelemvor, you judge us all. The mad god broke, his crown undone, A soul stood tall where shadows run. By wish of dead, the choice was made, KELL-em-vor rose, their guard, their blade. Lord of the Dead — Judge of the Damned! God of Death, none can withstand. Crystal Spire, shining bright, Guide our souls into the light. #DND #ForgottenRealms #Kelemvor #DNDLore #DNDGods #LordOfTheDead #aimusic #sunoai
