If you notice the steam wand has stopped releasing steam, it might be blocked. Follow this 5-step guide and learn how you can fix it. When your machine is in constant use, milk can quite easily dry out and become difficult to remove, this can cause the steam wand to become blocked, ultimately weakening the steam pressure, and making it difficult to recreate third wave specialty coffee. To avoid this from happening it is important you clean your steam wand thoroughly after every use. Directions: 1. After every use, wipe the steam wand thoroughly with a damp cloth and lower the wand to purge automatically. 2. If the steam wand becomes blocked the milk will stop steaming automatically and the milk temperature and texture lights will begin to flash. 3. Unscrew the tip using the spanner in the middle of the steam wand cleaning tool. 4. Soak the tip in hot water. 5. Attach the tip back onto the steam wand and use the cleaning tool to unblock any holes then press the steam icon to purge the steam wand.
