Lacrimal Diseases are the prime focus of this sqadia.com medical Ophthalmology lecture. Following this, dacryoadenitis is explained which is Inflammation of the lacrimal gland and is divided into the acute and chronic phases. It can be treated by the administration of Antiviral Drugs, Corticosteroids, and other therapies. Lacrimal gland tumor is also discussed along with trauma to the inferior canaliculus. One of the Congenital anomalies is chronic dacryostenosis which is a nasolacrimal obstruction. However, it can also be acquired. Next, acute dacryocystitis comes under consideration. Moreover, in this Ophthalmology lecture, a surgery procedure is highlighted i.e. technique of dacryocystorhinostomy. This technique is used to remove the mucus retention.
