When Dominique asked to cover a song that I had previously covered as an instrumental, it got me thinking about how fun it would be to remaster my old cover songs with her vocals. We hope you enjoy our remastered with vocals (and vocoder) version of New Order's Blue Monday. Please comment on which songs from my cover song catalog you'd like to have us work on next. Fun facts: I got the shirt I'm wearing in this video at a New Order concert I went to during the Summer of 1989. My original cover of this song was based on the 12" version and was played live, so it was a bit of a challenge to fit it into this radio version. I used nearly all of my gear for this song. The full gear list is included below. For this remaster, I added a new synth part for the chorus and a new vocoder part for the backing vocals. The "keytar" I'm playing in this video is the Behringer MS-1, which is a clone of the Roland SH-101. The remaster was sequenced, mixed and mastered in Cubasis 3 for iOS. The video background is a combination of a canned video from vecteezy.com combined with the Waveform Visualizer in OBS Studio.
