Before the review, I must mention that this newly released 1.6-meter wingspan Mustang fighter jet model has four paint schemes to choose from. I chose the "Frenesi" paint scheme with the main image. It is a P-51K fighter jet manufactured in 1944. After being retired from the U.S. Army Air Forces, it was used as an aileron in the Dominican Air Force. It was restored in the United States in 1990 and painted with the paint scheme of Lieutenant Colonel Hayes of the 357th Fighter Group during World War II, to commemorate the few Mustangs that flew in the Normandy landings. This aircraft is still frequently used for commemorative flights in the United States, so I chose the sticker for this paint scheme. My aircraft is the PNP configuration version, equipped with a Flying Wing Guardian gyroscope. The aircraft is very well-prepared from the factory, with all electronics already installed. Assembly took about 15 minutes. It's worth mentioning that all extension cable connections, such as the tail and wings, use quick-connect plugs, making installation very convenient. However, after assembly, you'll need about half an hour to apply the realistic decals. You can choose your favorite decals from four different paint schemes. This P-51D boasts a wealth of realistic details. The paint is thick and even, with rich detailing. It features realistic exhaust outlets, antennas, a cannon with LED lights that can simulate firing, and fully realistic retractable main and tail landing gear—it's practically fully equipped for a Mustang of this size! The cockpit is extremely realistic, with very detailed instrument panel decals that the pilot can easily remove to install FPV components. You can even opt for a drop pylon for remotely airdropping auxiliary fuel tanks, adding a touch of ceremony. In terms of flight performance, this Mustang is designed to be extremely easy to fly, exhibiting excellent stability even without the gyroscope. It boasts powerful engines, robust construction, and can easily perform various aerobatic maneuvers. Furthermore, its low-speed performance is excellent, even allowing for graceful triple landings.
