This is a fun and attractive old Ford truck that is ready to get in and enjoy now. Very attractive 1938 Ford ½ ton 81-C Custom Pickup for sale. Purchased locally here in California as a custom by its current owner in 2015. This Late 30's workshop themed truck has enjoyed some great additional modifications since making it better than ever before. Its classic "Johnny's Rocket Service, Sunset at Gower in Hollywood" theme adds a little nostalgia to its vibe! The all steel body is clean and best described as "driver-quality" with a nice shine on the paint and trim, good glass and a nicely finished bed. The wheels set it off nicely and the stance is just right. Underneath it is tidy and nice. The independent front suspension keeps handling easy and tight and power disc brakes upfront and a big set of drums at the rear help stop this high-performance truck quickly and easily. It rides on classic steel wheels wrapped in a nice set of classic BF Goodrich Radials with P205/60R15's upfront and P225/70R15'5 in back. The classic 239ci Ford Flathead starts and runs beautifully and was built to the highest standards. It is well equipped with Mallory electronic ignition, classic Rebuilt Stromberg carburetors, Offenhauser intake manifold with Edelbrock Ford flathead cylinder heads. Its C4 Interstate automatic transmission shifts perfectly and the Ford 9" rear end provides the perfect gearing for highway or around town. The cab is well insulated with a classic red and black interior that has been nicely fitted and is very quiet and comfortable. It has ice-cold air conditioning, vintage-style Classic Instruments gauges, and tilt steering. The doors shut well and the windows roll up and down with ease.
