Casting Copper Ingots and Copper Mask from Scrap Copper Pipe 1080p

In this video I make some copper ingots and a copper mask using some scrap copper pipe. These ingots will form part of a larger project. I also make a sand casting of a mask using Petrobond sand. This is my 3rd casting attempt. I thought I'd blown the pour, I spilled it everywhere, but it turned out alright in the end. In fact it looked pretty cool... 😎 The ingots had a lovely finish, pouring under a flame really makes a difference i think. Melting metals can be dangerous, but is generally safe if you think each process through carefully. Always pre-heat your metal and tools, moisture is your enemy. Wear a good quality mask with changeable cartridges as a minimum for gaseous metals. Protective clothing is also a must.
