Driving The REAL Paddy's Pub DTLA / Los Angeles Episode 181 “The Gang Gets Gentrified” When It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia first hit cable, the area where Paddy’s Pub (exterior) is located looks nothing now like it did then. The seafood distributor (which really was a legitimate business located across the street) is long gone, and the area has given way to upscale lofts and trendy restaurants. What was once a desolate industrial pocket of DTLA is now a hip, trendy and bustling neighborhood. If the Always Sunny writers don’t come up with an episode about the newly gentrified area it would seem like a lost opportunity… I know gentrification was touched on in a previous episode but with all the major physical changes to the neighborhood there’s even more to work with.
