For Dashain local people get blessed by elders by putting a red rice paste on the forehead (Tika) and handing over some money. A local shopkeeper told me I could get a Tika at the Barahi temple in Pokhara so I decided to make my way there and try to get blessed. When I found a taxi the owner and his brother invited me to get the Tika in their house instead. I had a great time with Bharat and his family!
