Just 1 inch can make the difference between seeing the red dot on your pistol or not. And your old iron sight presentation may be undermining success with a red dot. This quick demonstration shows why we can't get away with a sloppy presentation with a pisol mounted optic like we can with irons. Every study since 1975...for fighter jet cockpit design, automobile dashboards, touchscreens, and gesture activated deviecs have shown that people are NOT instinctively accurate pointers. In fact people are off an average of about 1" at arm's length...roughly the width of most optics. While this might not matter much with iron sights, it's critical with red dots because it means the difference between seeing your dot and frustration/searching. The good news? There are drills that we can do that are VERY fast that upgrade the parts of our brain that control pointing...it's like getting the benefit of a few hundred draw-stroke reps with a few minutes of drills. And, once you understand the proper presentation technique for red dots, you'll actually shoot BETTER with both optics AND iron sights. We cover this and a whole lot more in the best selling book, https://RedDotMastery.com -How to make the dot show up every time you draw -Selection, mounting, and maintenance -How to keep putting accurate hits on target if your dot fails (no...it's normally NOT using the backup iron sights) and more.
