Patrick will walk viewers through a step-by-step process of recreating a 3D roof model made of paper - regardless of roof pitches - while explaining in detail how to draw and understand the difference of elevation views (side profile view) of hips, valleys, and rafters, along with plan (birds-eye) view, and net view (a view perpendicular to a pitched surface). Patrick specializes in historical and traditional carpentry practices and has worked around the world on nationally and internationally federally classified historical sites including two UNESCO world heritage sites. In 2013, he became the first person in the western hemisphere to be received as a Compagnon Passant Charpentier Du Devoir in France. He has multiple exhibits on display in museums around the world and is the founder of The Professional School of Practical Stereotomy, a small private professional school unique in the English speaking world where students are given the experience in the UNESCO classified knowledge of practical stereotomy.
