Engineering Thermodynamics Video. Work and Heat - part 1 - PV work for a piston/cylinder assembly. You may notice a few errors in the videos where I misspoke -- but the written information is correct. The major errors are, 1. The SI unit for POWER (not work) is the Watt. 2. With 1W2 = P1V1*ln(V2/V1) we could also say that ln(V2/V1) = ln(P1/P2) -- I think I said Vs again. 3. For a linear spring there is a linear relationship between the displacement and the force, and the spring constant is a constant (fixed value). There were a few times when I should have said ONE and I said TWO, and there were other times when I should have said TWO when I said ONE. I hope to re-record these videos at a later time....
