Rodel Naval was a talented Filipino singer, songwriter, and actor, best remembered for his iconic ballads like "Lumayo Ka Man" and "Muli"*. Born on February 16, 1953, in Manila, Naval's early life was filled with music, as he started piano lessons at a young age and later developed his musical talents by ear. He moved to Canada in the 1980s, where he pursued his career in music and theater, performing in venues across Canada and the U.S., and even participating in the *Miss Saigon production in Toronto. In the Philippines, Naval rose to fame with the release of his album, *Finally I Found Love*, and his hit song *Lumayo Ka Man*, which became a major success in the 1990s. However, his career was cut short when he was diagnosed with AIDS in 1993. Despite his illness, he continued performing and recording music until his death on June 11, 1995, at the age of 42 in Toronto.
