Queenstown, New Zealand is truly a Winter Wonderland and as always we explore the best activities, sites and food this town has to offer!! In this video we enjoy festivities such as the Queenstown Winter Festival and Matariki in New Zealand's most beautiful small town, Arrowtown. And tackle the Ski slopes Snowboarding at Coronet Peak and the Remarkables. NZ winter Chapters: Introduction 0:00 Queenstown Winter Festival/ Returning Home 1:33 After 4 months away we return home to Queenstown, New Zealand’s adventure capital. Not long after our arrival we celebrate the Queenstown Winter Festival, complete with food trucks and Fireworks. We check out some of towns lively nightlife and live music scene and celebrate a friends birthday with a bbq. Matariki Festival 9:03 Uniquely New Zealand, this holiday celebrates the Māori new year and the arrival of the Pleiades in the mid winter sky. Arrowtown hosts a great celebration. I also undertake a winter driving safety course at Highlands Motor Sport Park in Cromwell. First Snow (Coronet + Remarkables) 11:14 We get our first arrival of snow allowing us to check out both of Queenstown’s famous ski fields, Coronet Peak and the Remarkables. The First Big Dump (Remarkables & Coronet) 16:32 After a big dumping of snow we finally get to snowboard with some real powder, once again visiting the Remarkables Ski Field and Coronet Peak. Snowboarding with Friends (incl Coronet night ski) 26:47 A friend comes to visit from Australia, we head out with a large group of friends to check out the Coronet Peak Night Ski boarding from golden hour onwards. We also check out the Remarkables and make good use of its Ice Bar. Snow Machine Festival Ski Events 33:17 One of Queenstown’s biggest festival reigns in the start of Spring with events taking place at the Remarkables Ski Field. DJ’s and ski/boarding aerial competitions and slushy Spring Terrain. An awesome way to say farewell to another Epic Queenstown Winter!
