Navy Wings pilot Alistair McLaren prepares to the skies for the first time in the awesome Seafire. In 1955 it was decided she would be scrapped. However, in 1973 her fuselage was discovered in a derelict state and 5 years after that her restoration began. she was finally rebuilt and restored to full flying condition by Kennet Aviation at North Weald whilst under the ownership of former US Navy pilot and entrepreneur, Tim Manna. In November 2021Navy Wings Acquired the aircraft and has her place in the heritage hangar alongside our other historic aircraft.
