Light boxes (aka light panels) have many uses including decoration, treatment for seasonal effective disorder, poster displays, viewing X-rays, providing studio light and as a tracing aid for drawing and other art projects. While this video covers my build for a decoration or colorful display I have also tested it out for many of the other purposes I just mentioned too! This tutorial shows all the steps needed to create an awesome light box using 3 main parts that are easy to find. The finished project is a color changing light box that can be dimmed, set for one of 16 colors or allowed to run in one of the 4 available modes including strobe! To be honest, I made this for my kids to have in a playroom (and they do LOVE it) but I am having a hard time letting it leave my office (LOL).
