How to make a junk journal from a composition notebook Step 4: large inside cover tag pockets

Hello and welcome! Today I am sharing how to make inside cover pockets for large tags. I also share how I make trim with a thrifted top and fabric. Thanks for joining me and I hope you have a good weekend! Until we meet again… Kathy Steps for the inside covers: Cut down 12x12 Scrapbook paper to fit the length of journal cover. Leave a little space by the spine when measuring the cover paper. This way, the binding will not bulk up unnecessarily. Scoring measurements on 12x12 scrapbook paper: 2 1/4” and 4 5/8”. Fold paper edge. Glue fold. Sew around cover paper and pocket if you want. Glue 3 sides of cover paper leaving the side near the outside of the cover unglued for the pocket. Before gluing paper to inside cover, add washi tape to cover the space beside the biding. Washi tape is thinner than paper and will not create too much bulk. Sewing machine: Brother SQ9285 Settings: 3.0 length, 4.5 width Stitch: J 05 zigzag Needle: denim or heavy duty For Trim: sew pretty side of fabric strip to the inside of the shirt top Sewing the paper is completely optional.
