We call it as Epididymoorchitis. It happens suddenly patient will have pain and swelling of the testes and sometimes you can have burning micturation. Usually it is associated with urinary infections. It can be treated easily with a course of antibiotics and painkillers and patient will be alright. The next cause is the torsion of the testis. It commonly happens in adolescence. It is nothing but is twisting of the testes wherein the blood supply to the testis gets cuts off and testis and causes gangrene, which is very emergency. The next rarest cause being in a tumor of the test like cancer. There are different types of cancers you see it has to be diagnosed initially. Usually in cancers pain will not be there. Pain is there these are the symptoms. Pain is not there we have to suspect cancer. So such case immediately we have to do the surgery, remove the testis and followed by chemotherapy. Other some rare like occasional causes pain like we call it sebaceous cyst. Actually it's not inside the testis, it is outside the skin. Simple to treat. You remove the sebaceous cyst and then assists in the epididymis, that is sperm conducting tubes. Again it does not require any treatment unless it's very enlarged and causing pain. These are the few commonly occurring testicular swellings. So treat it accordingly and early.
