This video shows you how to build a ball kicking mechanism using a custom made electromagnetic solenoid. The circuit uses a ZVS capacitor charging module, a 2700uF 450VDC electrolytic capacitor, a 12V battery and a switch besides the solenoid itself. That's all. No diodes, no ceramic resistors, no nothing. To construct the solenoid, you need to get the magnet wire to build the coil, a piece of PVC pipe and a custom made plunger. You can ask your mechanical engineering friend to make you the plunger. Circuit diagram: https://goo.gl/7zy8vR. If you want to activate the kicker using wireless RF remote relay module, then use this circuit: https://goo.gl/CFRWC2. It is combined with a micro switch for local activation feature and the best part is, both of the relay and switch are working together to cut the supply from ZVS capacitor charging module to prevent back current when either one is pressed/triggered. When both are idle, they will make sure the loop to the capacitor is always established to ensure the solenoid activation is always ready.
