0.00: Start up and Remote Controller begins constant beeping after approx 14 secs. 0.45: Press 3 buttons on Remote Controller to acquire signal. 0.55: "kind of" acquires the signal but still beeps constantly and LED light on Remote Controller alternates between red and green. 3.10: Calibration attempt of Remote Controller - impossible. OK, here is how my issue was resolved. First, I have to inform anyone reading this that my problem was not a connection issue or a calibration issue. The problem was that the remote control starts beeping incessantly after 15 seconds from turning on and would not respond to pairing with the Spark, no matter what. It could not be calibrated either because the sticks on the remote controller were unresponsive - the dots on the calibration screen would run all over the place without even touching the sticks on the remote controller, making it impossible to calibrate. After 3 to 4 online conversations with DJI online help and linking the video to explain my issue in detail, and running through some troubleshooting, they determined my problem to be a fault with the remote controller. As I am in Singapore, and at the time of writing this, there is no service centre in Singapore, they asked me to fill in an online repair request and it required me to ship my remote controller to the nearest service centre in Hong Kong. The instructions for doing this was very clear and precise. It cost me about $14.50 Singapore dollars to get it to them. I dropped off the package at a Post Office in Singapore on Fri 26 Jan 2018. DJI also provided me a link for me to track the progress of my repair request. It was through this link that I could see that they received my remote controller on Tue 6 Feb 2018, the assessment of the problem was done on the same day, and they itemised the parts they were going to replace - remote control main board, 2 control stick modules. The charges for all this plus labour was waived because my Spark Fly More Combo was only abt 3months old (they could see this from my online registration). The remote controller was repaired on 10 Feb 2018, put through a flight test and a quality assurance test also on 10 Feb. The remote controller was then shipped out to me (cost borne by DJI) via DHL on 11 Feb 2018. It arrived in Singapore on 14 Feb but it ding-donged in Singapore for almost 2 days before it got delivered to a bluPort box near where I live late on 15 Feb 2018. I finally picked it up on 16 Feb and I'm glad it paired easily with my Spark and my Samsung phone runnng Android 7.0. I am super impressed with the DJI's online help (they were patient, polite and responsive), and their repair system which gives you tracking and progress update information. This repair and their excellent customer service has left a deep positive impression on me. They've done a great job!
