Kes Soundtrack - John Cameron. (Billy sees Kes in the Tower)

British composer and arranger John Cameron produced a haunting and beautiful score for this 1969 Ken Loach adaptation of the barry hines book 'a kestrel for a knave'. David Bradley in a rare big screen outing gave a magnificent performance as the bullied and neglected schoolboy Billy Caspar who finds solace from his difficult home and school life in the shape of a young kestrel he chances upon, and subsequently adopts and trains. Well known british character actor the late Brian Glover, screenwriter Colin Welland, Freddie Fletcher and the late Lynn Perrie provide an excellent supporting cast. Considered a classic british movie Kes was placed 7th in the British film Institute's list of top 10 British movies.
