Anji Bridge: CRS Completes Inspection of India’s First Cable-Stayed Anji Rail Bridge

Located in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, the bridge will play a crucial role in connecting Srinagar to Kanyakumari for railway traffic. Preparations are underway to fully open the 111-kilometer-long Katra-Banihal rail line, with necessary repairs and testing being conducted between Reasi and Katra. The Anji Rail Bridge, spanning 725 meters, is uniquely designed with 96 heavy metal cables supporting the structure. The main pylon stands at 193 meters, with the total bridge height measuring 331 meters from the Anji Riverbed.
