Kielder Lonesome Pine Trail - Over The Hill Mountain Biking

The Lonesome Pine trail officially starts from the carpark at the castle, and uses the lakeside trail to access the 'proper' start about 2-3 miles further on. The trail was badly hit by storm damage back in 2021 and has only just reopened. However, the boardwalk section still remains closed. It's a trail that I would recommend to anyone wanting to try a red route for the first time. There are no technical sections at all, unlike the trails on Deadwater Fell. It's downhill sections are pure flow with no hidden dangers and fun to ride. Oh and I apologise for the amount of times I say the word 'fun' in this video. It's as annoying to me as I'm sure it is to you. However, it does describe the trail as 'fun', rather than 'amazing', 'incredible' or 'fantastic'.
