In just five days of back-to-back operations, Delhi Police has forced major gangs to their knees, yet the growing involvement of juveniles in crime has become a serious concern for the capital. A shocking case has now emerged from Baljit Nagar’s Gulshan Chowk in the Anand Parbat police station area. Here, a 15-year-old boy, driven by revenge, brutally killed his four-year-old neighbor. The incident took place on the evening of September 17. A child named Harsh was playing near his house when he suddenly went missing. His worried family immediately informed the police. When officers reviewed CCTV footage, a chilling truth was revealed—Harsh was seen walking with his teenage neighbor. The boy’s mother identified the accused after watching the footage. Police quickly raided the area and arrested the accused from his home. During interrogation, it was revealed that the teenager had dropped out after the 10th grade and lived with his family in the same building as the victim’s family. On that very day, the boy’s father had scolded and beaten him after the landlord’s motorcycle was misplaced, following a complaint made by the victim’s mother. Humiliated and furious, the teenager targeted little Harsh to take revenge. First, he pushed the child off a 30-foot-high slope into the bushes. When his rage was still not satisfied, he struck the child’s head with a stone. The injured Harsh lay there helpless, while the accused returned home as if nothing had happened. Based on the accused’s disclosure, police rescued the unconscious child from the bushes and rushed him to the hospital. Despite receiving critical care, Harsh succumbed to his injuries. News of the murder spread quickly, plunging the neighborhood into grief and anger. Locals marched to the police station, demanding strict punishment for the accused. The juvenile has since been sent to a correctional home. Police are now investigating his family background and all aspects of the case. But this incident clearly highlights how juvenile criminals are turning into a growing threat within small neighborhoods and colonies. The big question is: will these juvenile gangs and offenders face the same kind of tough action that Delhi Police is taking against major gangsters?
