Today we remember Pope Saint Felix III (reigned 483–492 AD), a courageous defender of Church unity and orthodox teaching during a time of theological conflict. As Bishop of Rome, Pope Felix III confronted the spread of the Monophysite heresy and defended the true teaching about Christ’s two natures — fully God and fully man. His strong stand led to tensions with the Eastern Church and the beginning of the Acacian Schism. Despite political pressure and imperial influence, Pope Felix remained firm in safeguarding apostolic doctrine and protecting the integrity of the Church. In this episode, we explore: The theological controversies of the 5th century His defence of the Council of Chalcedon The Acacian Schism and its significance His role in strengthening papal authority Pope Saint Felix III reminds us that unity must always be grounded in truth.
