The Life of a Beach Break Surfer Season 1, Episode 2 The month of June, 2020 here at Playa Colorados, Nicaragua started with a week of onshore winds but on June 8th the winds turned back to offshore and it was a start to great things. Somehow, I didn't put the clips away from June 8th and I lost some good clips of me and my friends that aren't in the episode. The majority of Jackson Obando's clips are from June 9th. He was on fire that day! He's riding his 5'7 24 liter Superbrand Magic Mix model with Medium JW FCS2 3-fin set up. Kevin Cortez's clip are mostly from June 16th and 17th as he lived up to his nickname the "Wave Magnet"! Most of the waves in Kevin's part, he's riding a 5'5 26 liter Stretch Epoxy with a custom Futures Fins twin fin set up with a Nicaraguan Flag airbrush. Jeyner Granados' stay at Hacienda Iguana came to an end around June 19th but still managed to get enough waves before leaving back to San Juan del Sur to make a solid part for him. Manny Resano was surfing the outer reefs for most of the month of June but joined me for a couple sessions at the end of the month and grabbed a couple nice round barrels. Kai DeLorenzo, a grom from St. Augustin, Florida is living here with his dad during the quarantine and snagged some good barrels and turns and I like his part that I made for him in this episode! I included a couple other surfers that live here permanently or are just here during the quarantine that got some nice waves that I wanted to include. For me, my waves are from June 9th, June 17th, June 23rd and June 29th and June 30th. The first couple waves in my part are on a trusty 5'7 30 liter SMTH Shapes twin fin set up with Rasta Futures Fins. I loved that board much but broke it on June 17th half way through the session. The final waves ridden in my part are on a 6'2 Goodrum step up board with a quad FCS2 fin set up (JW Mediums on the outside and Reactor Quad Fins.) I really hope everyone enjoys this episode and thanks so much for tuning in!
