Making a Hypnotic Sedative from Acetone

In this video I make an old hypnotic anesthetic agent called chlorobutanol from acetone, bleach, and potassium hydroxide. Note that this chemical is NOT a recreational drug, and I have yet to find any examples of someone ever trying to use it as such. This was used nearly exclusively as a medical anesthetic until its use was discontinued due to its major side-effects which I discuss later in the video.
