Assalam O Alikum! Welcome to this video.. King parrot call The Australian king parrot is a large, colorful parrot endemic to eastern Australia. It is a sexually dimorphic species. The male is mostly red with a green back and wings and a blue rump. There is a blue band on the nape where the red meets the green. The female is light green with a red belly. The male’s bill is orange red above with a red tip and black below, whereas the female has a gray bill. Both sexes have some degree of blue in the tail and wings. There are two recognized subspecies. Some birds exhibit a melanin deficit in their plumage with patches of yellow and orange. Their range spans from Queensland to Victoria in eastern Australia. During winter, they can also be found in Canberra and parts of Sydney. They inhabit humid upland forests and eucalyptus woodlands. They feed in trees and on the ground. Their diet comprises mainly seeds and nuts. They also eat fruit, berries, nectar, blossoms, buds, and small invertebrates. Australian king parrots' nest in tree cavities. The nest is typically lined with wood shavings and decayed bark bits. Females lay four and six eggs and the incubation period lasts roughly 20 days. The altricial chicks fledge around five weeks after hatching. Populations are stable and are believed to be on the increase.
