Here we have a pre-Basel '17 GS, before Seiko decided that the Seiko name on its own wasn't worthy of being on the dial of a GS watch (big mistake IMO). I've long desired this particular GS model. It is unlike most GS's in that the case shape is a more traditional round style, rather than cushion type cases with integrated lugs. The case is also fully polished, which shows off Grand Seiko's zaratsu finish to its fullest effect. I'm also a big fan of ivory dials, and Grand Seiko is certainly one of the best at it. The contrasting silver grained date wheel is also spectacular. The leather strap is beautiful quality and the clasp, although it looks like a traditional tang, is actually a supremely easy to use deployant, with super secure double push button locking. The case dimensions are slightly larger than a traditional dress watch, at 39.5x13.1mm (46.5 lug to lug and 19mm lug width). But really, in overall style, it doesn't get any better than this in my opinion.
