Building a Realistic Ignition Training Rig Plus the Motor Testing Video

You know I get some crazy ideas (just ask Amber!), but I think this one's a winner! I'm taking our PLC training rig to the next level by building a "Doc Brown" style full-size model. I'm hoping to drop a screen right in the middle to run a real Ignition application—showing tanks, mixers, and all the controls—so our students see exactly what they'll face in the real world. We're even adding cool Banner strip lights to show the tank levels. Then, I drag out every meter I own to prep for our next big how-to video: Testing Motors! Everyone asks about meggering, but I'll show you how to get good diagnostics using simpler tools, too. Finally, while all the equipment is set up, a simple fault pops up on the PowerFlex 525 VFD. Perfect timing! I quickly show you how to troubleshoot the F13 fault and how much valuable diagnostic info you can pull straight from the drive (something most of us skip!).
