RRR Post: http://ridersrangersandrambles.com/?p... Blog Post: http://wp.me/pJgaa-Ow --- The Gold Power continues with the release of the LightZord. Daigouyou, the Japanese counterpart, was released as a full scale mecha that could combine with Shinkenoh. It could also be used as a role play toy in the lantern and jitte mode. Instead of the LightZord being released in the same scale as the Samurai Megazord, he got shoved into the Zord Vehicle assortment. This means we have a roughly 5" LightZord in some stylized format that looks like he hit the gym. Also included is a Super Mega Mode Gold figure stuck in a "taking a crap" pose holding the LightZord...creating some sort of LightZord paradox. It's unknown if Super Gold or Super Mega Mode Gold will appear in the show or not, but at least we get a little toy of him. What makes this guy unique is that he transforms into the SpiderZord. Yup. spread out his arms to make the three legs on each side, pop the legs off, reattach them into the vertical position, then attach the shoulder blade to the front. It looks more like a weird spaceship then a spider, but it's a bonus feature. I highly doubt this will be in the show, but it adds some functionality to an otherwise dull toy. You can also detach the arms and peg them together, flip the shoulder blade around, put the legs back into that vertical position from the SpiderZord, and you have the lantern mode. You can then let the Samurai Megazord, Samurai ClawZord, or Bull Megazord (and thus the GigaZord) carry him. Overall, the LightZord isn't a bad pickup. This is probably the only representation of the LightZord we're gonna get. It's a shame it isn't a full Megazord release to interact like it does in the show, but the toy is still fun in its own merit. The SpiderZord mode looks weird, but oddly fits in some strange way that is actually kind of neat. It's hard to recommend, but if you don't mind the way this interacts with the other toys, it's a great pick-up. Otherwise, like its ClawZord buddy, you can probably leave it on the shelf. --- Awesome Intro thanks to Ryokuya!
