The Brazilian Brothers tested the brand-new 2026 North Orbit kite and shared their impressions after several sessions in Brazil. They noted that while the Orbit has always been a solid big air kite, North has now incorporated technology from the Orbit Pro into the standard Orbit, bringing a significant performance boost without raising the price point. The most notable update is the introduction of the NMAX 2 material, which makes the kite lighter and allows for a slimmer leading edge, resulting in a more efficient and refined feel. They emphasized two major improvements for 2026: enhanced lift and hang time, which now make landings from jumps and loops much smoother, and a dramatic increase in stability, making this the most stable Orbit to date. In past versions, the kite could front stall under pressure, but the Brothers reported that even after repeated crashes and aggressive riding, the 2026 Orbit remained rock solid. In terms of performance, the Orbit continues to shine as one of the safest and most intuitive kites for loop progression. While the turning speed hasn’t changed dramatically, the kite consistently catches riders after loops, giving them the confidence to push into more advanced tricks such as board-offs and rotations. Jumping performance has also been improved, especially in overpowered conditions where the kite really excels, delivering huge height potential and controlled landings. The Brothers pointed out that the Orbit is not meant for light-wind sessions—it thrives when fully powered, where its de-power range, light bar pressure, and vertical boost capabilities give riders confidence even when conditions are at their strongest. They concluded that the Orbit is best suited for twin-tip riders focused on big air and kite loop progression. Its predictable handling, safety in extreme conditions, and Pro-inspired updates make it a standout choice for anyone looking to progress without sacrificing confidence. The Brazilian Brothers felt the 2026 version represents a meaningful step up from the 2025 Orbit and carries over the DNA of the Pro model while keeping it at an accessible price point, making it one of the most compelling big air kites in North’s lineup. #kiteboarding #kitesurfing #brazilianbrothers Thanks for sharing the stoke with us here at MACkiteboarding! 🤙🏽 Whether you're into kiteboarding, wing foiling, or just dreaming of your next session, we're stoked to have you along for the ride.
