Finch Hatton had been on our list for a while — everyone we met along the road told us we had to visit. And now we know why! After leaving our lovely free camp near Springsure and a quick stop at Theresa Creek Dam (where the wind kept us from seeing its full potential), we headed to Moranbah for a short work stint. No filming, just work! But when we finally rolled into Finch Hatton, it all changed. Epic mountain bike trails, stunning gorge hikes, and the charm of a small country town made it an instant favourite. Rachael even faced her fears and took the plunge into the crystal-clear swimming hole at the gorge. We topped it all off with a classic fish and chips feed, thanks to Ryan’s catch.
