The IRS just released updated guidance on when you can expect your tax refund — and the timing depends on two major factors: 1️⃣ When you file 2️⃣ How you file In this video, I break down: • The difference between e-filing and mailing your return • How long it takes the IRS to accept your return • When direct deposit refunds typically arrive • Why mailed refunds take longer • What delays your tax refund • When you should start worrying If you file electronically and choose direct deposit, you could receive your tax refund in as little as 3 weeks after acceptance. If you mail your return or don’t have a bank account, expect additional delays. The IRS processes electronic returns significantly faster than paper returns — and refund method matters more than most people realize. If it’s been longer than 3–4 weeks, there may be an issue with your return. Don’t guess when your refund is coming. File correctly the first time. My team is filing 500 tax returns this season.
