Time for Tea with Georgina, a Haematology and Transfusion Science STP

Hi everyone, I hope everyone's had a lovely weekend! I spoke with Georgina, who's a Haematology and Transfusion Science STP based at the Addenbrookes. Haematology is one of those specialisms that is interlinked with so many others - swear if you go to hospital you always have your blood taken so it's super important! She's had a lot of experience in research before going and becoming a BMS in the NHS. The STP appealed to her because of the opportunities to learn about multiple areas of the specialty and those that link into it - wanting to learn is such a key thing to get across in your application/interview. If you've got a lot of experience and spent a lot of time in research, Georgina is testament to the fact that if you want to move across into clinical science you should just go for it!
