The weave is tight and uniform and there isn't a single frayed or loose thread on either of the two shirts we bought. The sizing is true, for Americans: so, if you usually wear a large, buy a large. I'm 5'8", 170 lbs, with a Chest diameter 42" and Center back length (neck/shoulder to bottom of back) 22". If the price point still has you on the fence; well, you get what you pay for. This is a premium feeling shirt with a similar premium price. This is also due to the sustainable approach the company is investing in and the consumer is paying, plus brand positioning of course. Not everyone will be wearing this shirt, and with so many color variants, you're likely not going to find yourself standing next to a stranger wearing the same thing. *This DOES NOT have a smooth fleece or flannel texture--if those are your Blanket references--not to make a blanket statement.
