We met Dutch actor Romijn Conen in Amsterdam to talk about disability, the stigma surrounding mobility aids, and the life-changing impact these tools can have when they’re embraced. Although Romijn has lived with a disability for nearly a decade, he had never used a rollator before. The stigma often attached to mobility aids can make it difficult to accept them, even when they have the potential to restore independence and freedom.
