I've always been drawn to the haunting beauty of Scarborough Fair and wanted to create my own version. But in today’s copyright-driven world, even traditional songs get flagged and blocked for new arrangements. So instead of fighting algorithms, I chose to craft a version far removed from any existing recordings. The first well-known performance wasn’t by Simon & Garfunkel, but by English folk singer Martin Carthy. When asked for chords, he simply said, “If I give you mine, it won’t be yours, make it yours” That stuck with me. Inspired by the song’s deep roots—some versions dating back to the 1700s as The Elfin Knight. I created a Welsh folk adaptation, blending older lyrics with a fresh, personal sound. This is my Scarborough Fair—timeless, rooted, in a truth we all understand. Arrangement by Heart of a Celt Vocals by Tenebrix
