Two years of hard mahi for a complex and crucial part of the #cityraillink project. When completed the big milestone arrived. Both western line rail tracks became operational at the same time. They had been made ready to accommodate the new CRL tracks. Here in two minutes is how it all came to be. This time-lapse showcases the work towards the west of Maungawhau Station, where the western line tracks were reconstructed. This work also included creating the foundation and walls for the CRL tracks and involved a range of activities from installing retaining walls to excavating 24,000 tonnes of spoil. Despite its complexity, the team make the work look effortless. Well done team and thanks to everyone involved.
