A Long Island teenager who fell into a shaft on the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge was rescued by the FDNY and police after being stuck for several hours. The NYPD says it responded to a call about a Lynbrook 16-year-old who fell into the shaft in one of the bridge's pillars and began the search. The teen was stuck there for at least six hours, according to Lynbrook police. He was suffering from multiple injuries and hypothermia. Lynbrook police told News 12 they received an anonymous call that a juvenile might be hurt or needed help. They had no location, but they had a name for the juvenile. Lynbrook police say the teens were urban exploring and trying to create social media content. » Subscribe to News 12: https://bit.ly/4dyeWzd About News 12: News 12 is the exclusive 24-hour local news service dedicated to bringing you the best local news and information about your neighborhoods.
