Taking the plunge in some new and different shares over here. You may know me from our clinic, Jing Shen Healing Arts, or from our tea company, Nerdy Girl Tea — but aside from showing off our athletes on social media, this isn’t a space we’ve done much with as far as forward-facing content. It is my intention to change that. I have a lot of things I want to say about training, health, coaching, CrossFit culture, and what it actually looks like to build fitness in a way that supports your life long-term. This video is one of the first places we’re starting. If you’ve had a challenging experience with CrossFit, or you’ve been curious but hesitant, I hope this offers some context and maybe even permission to try again — or at least to ask better questions about what you’re looking for in a gym and a community.
