Here is her engines start up , taxi and take-off. I'm specially recorded this footage with Sennheiser mke 440 compact stereo shotgun microphone for you to enjoy this beautiful sound. The Italian-built turboprop has some unconventional ideas to the conservative world of business aviation. The unusual design translates to greater efficiency, up to 40 percent better than other airplanes in its class. Piaggio's design has been around since it first flew in 1986, but the aircraft struggled to find its way into production. Eventually the airplane was saved by an investment team led by Piero Ferrari. Today the P180 is seen as one of the most efficient and innovative business airplane on the market. And it's no surprise the Piaggio is the airplane used by Ferrari's Formula 1 operation. The two rear facing turbine engines push the P180 to a top speed of more than 450 miles per hour. This is more than 100 mph faster than a similar sized turboprop aircraft and even faster than several jets in its class. And because the airplane is using more efficient propellers instead of jet engines in addition to all of the aerodynamic efficiencies, it burns less fuel as well. The P180 Avanti II can climb at the rate of 14.98m/s. The maximum and cruise speeds of the aircraft are 732km/h and 593km/h respectively. The range is 2,592km and the service ceiling is 12,500m. The aircraft weighs around 3,402kg and its maximum take-off weight is 5,239kg. The aircraft is fitted with Dowty hydraulically retractable tricycle-type landing gear with a twin-wheeled nose unit and single-wheeled main units. The wheels are fitted with Goodrich hydraulically activated multidisc carbon brakes. The short-field performance of the aircraft – 869m take-off distance over 50ft obstacle and 872m landing distance over 50ft obstacle – allows the Avanti to fly to smaller airfields close to a wide number of destinations.
