Jeff LaBar, the talented guitarist of Cinderella, passed away on July 14, 2021, at the age of 58 in Nashville, Tennessee. Though best known for his guitar work, Jeff's final days saw him pursuing a new passion as a culinary student. Despite the shift, he hadn't recorded with Cinderella since 1994, though the band continued to tour occasionally before disbanding. With Tom Keifer on vocals, Eric Brittingham on bass, and Fred Coury on drums, Cinderella found massive success with platinum albums and hits like “Shake Me” and “Don’t Know What You Got (Till It’s Gone).” One of Jeff’s career highlights was performing with Cinderella at the 1989 Moscow Peace Festival, where they became one of the first Western rock bands to play there. Jeff’s electrifying guitar work, influenced by bands like Aerosmith and The Rolling Stones, helped define the hard rock and glam scene of the 1980s. He later released a solo album, One for the Road, in 2014. Though Jeff struggled with substance abuse, his legacy as a gifted guitarist continues to resonate with rock fans around the world.
