Join me for a calm early morning walk through the village of Buckland in Gloucestershire, set in the heart of the Cotswolds, England. Recorded on a damp, lightly rainy morning, this walk captures that inbetween moment where the countryside is still quiet, but life is gently beginning to move. Ponies stands calmly nearby, a stream flows steadily through the village and the soft sound of rain settles over the lanes and fields. There’s no talking or music in this walk, just natural sounds, water moving, footsteps on wet ground and the quiet rhythm of a rural morning. ABOUT BUCKLAND Buckland is a small, historic village in Gloucestershire, set close to the River Windrush and surrounded by open farmland and rolling countryside. The village has medieval origins and developed as a farming settlement, shaped by centuries of agriculture and sheep grazing that once supported the Cotswolds’ wool trade. At the heart of the village is the church of St Michael, parts of which date back to the Norman period. Many of the cottages and farm buildings in Buckland are built from traditional Cotswold stone and line quiet lanes that have changed very little over time.
